Well, its the first shift tomorrow. As I am going to my first duty in the Transport Team strait from home I have to travel there in my Olympic uniform. As the weeks go by I will add extra photos as I get used to the eye catching outfit myself.. My long stint of shifts starts on Saturday 21st July.
Some say I have always had my head in the clouds.

My Journey to becoming a Games Maker
In late 2010 national advertisements appeared asking for volunteers for the London 2012 Olympic Games. I decided to apply on-line. It would in my view be an exciting time for the country, that would be for me just limited to what could be seen on the TV or seen personally in the unlightly event I was successful in buying tickets, that I expected to be costly and in short supply.
My application was acknowledged and I heard nothing for many months. From the outset all personal communications to and from LOCOG were channelled using personal id and password set up from my application in 2010. As there would be Olympic venues near me at Coventry, that was were I expected to be based. At the time I did not know or expect to be based in London. My judgement on volunteering for the Paralympic as well, turned out to be a whole chunk of the summer of 2012.

This blog and LOCOG Guidelines
This blog is being written in line with the LOCOG guide lines. For me those guidelines have been best interpreted by the BBC as reported on this site.

Essentially this is my personal record of , for my involvement before during and after the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was and is an exciting time for me, my family the community and the country, all of which have given a lot of time and investment into the Games. This blog will provide a memory jog for me to justify this to those stakeholders.
